How it works
The Admin tool has two main areas, shown as tabs at the top of every screen.
The typical journey is Upload → Set up → Add to a category → Publish. A model must be set up before it can appear in your catalog.
Your products list
The Products List shows every model you've uploaded. Use it to monitor processing, find a model, and open one for setup.
Finding a model
The search field at the top searches across the whole list by model name, SKU article, or category. Each column also has its own search box to filter within just that column.
What each column tells you
| Column | What it shows | Sorting |
|---|---|---|
| Status | Where the model is in processing — Converting, Pending, Processing, Ready or Error. | By status, or newest ↔ oldest |
| Name | The model's name, with a search box to filter by name. | A→Z / Z→A |
| SKU article | The product code, with its own search box. | Ascending / descending |
| Category | The catalog category the model belongs to. | A→Z / Z→A |
| Price | The price you've assigned to the item. | Low→high / high→low |
| Analytics | Whether the model is suitable for use inside Planner 5D. If not, the reason is shown (e.g. too large, too few/many vertices, meshes merged after conversion, or low-quality textures). | — |
| Website | Opens the product's page on your own website in a new tab. | — |
| Img | Opens the item image in a new tab. | — |
| Visualiser | Opens a shareable card for viewing the 3D version of the model. | — |
| Description | A short text describing the item. | — |
The Analytics indicator is a quick health check on each model. A RapidPipeline QC score may also be shown to help you judge quality.
Adding a model
Use the Add item button in the top-right corner to start an upload. When your list is empty, the same button also appears in the center of the screen so you can create your first catalog entry.
Uploading models
Selecting Add item opens the Files Uploading window, where you choose files and send them for processing.
What you'll see
Adding and reviewing files
Once files are added, the window lists each one with its file name, format and size, plus a count of selected files. You can delete any file before uploading. The Upload button stays inactive until at least one file is added.
Files are validated before they're sent. If a file isn't a usable 3D model it's highlighted in red and an error appears — the window stays open and nothing is uploaded. Remove the invalid files to continue. Individual files that aren't part of a model aren't supported.
Uploading
When every file passes validation, pressing Upload sends them to the server and a progress indicator appears (with an estimated processing time). You can Close the window or use × to dismiss it without uploading.
After upload, your files are processed on the server. Follow their progress in the Status column — see Model statuses.
Setting up a model
A model must be set up before it can be used in your catalog. Once uploaded and converted, a model gets the Pending status and waits there until you set it up. Press Open to launch the editor.
The 3D model setup panel
Rotate options
- Reset — returns the model to its default position.
- Edit pivot — set the pivot point (the spot a rotation turns around, or that scaling moves to and from) along each axis. Back to center returns it to the middle (inactive when already centered).
Analytics
This section reports the numbers behind the model and evaluates whether it's good to use:
Information (all fields optional)
| Article (SKU) | The product code for the model. |
| Name | The product name shown to customers. |
| URL | Link to the product page on your site. |
| Img | Link to the model's image. |
| Price | The item's price. |
| Info | Any additional product information. |
Saving or leaving
- Submit saves your changes and continues processing toward Ready.
- Back returns you to the products list. If you've made changes you'll be asked to confirm — No, discard to leave without saving, or Yes, save to keep your work.
This editor is still being refined, so some controls may change. Create as new and Save belong to editing a finished model and won't appear during first-time setup.
The Visualiser
Clicking Visualiser on any model opens its model card — a quick way to preview and share the 3D version.
Adding items to a catalog
The Library is where you organize ready models into the categories your customers browse. Two categories — Exterior and Interior — are provided by default.
How the screen is laid out
The Library shows your category list on the left, the contents of the selected category in the middle, and your product list (models not yet placed) on the right. Each side has a Select all checkbox, a model count, sorting, and a search field. By default the first category is selected.
Add a model to a category
- Pick a category from the list on the left.
- Check the models you want in the product list. You can select several — or all — at once.
- Move them in by dragging the selection, or clicking the Move button (its arrow points left, toward the category).
- Done — moved models disappear from the product list and the counters on both sides update.
A single model can live in multiple categories at once.
Remove a model from a category
The same flow works in reverse: select the models in the category, then use the Move button (its arrow now points right). Removed models return to the product list.
Fine-tuning a model in the catalog
Hover over a model in a category to reveal toggles you can switch on and off — controlling what your customers are allowed to change:
Publishing
Your changes go live only when you press Publish. The button stays inactive until you've made a change.
If you try to leave with unsaved changes, a Save your work prompt appears. Yes, save applies and publishes; No, discard deletes them.
Managing categories
Shape your catalog's structure by creating, renaming, reordering and organizing categories.
Create a new category
Press Add to open the Add new category window, enter a name, and choose Save to create it (added to the top level) or Discard to cancel.
Edit an existing category
Category controls appear when you hover over a category.

Hovering a category also reveals a … (three-dots) button with more actions:
- New subfolder — opens a window to name and Save a subfolder (or Cancel / close with ×).
- Delete — asks you to confirm. Yes, delete removes the category and all of its subfolders; No or × cancels.
Deleting a category also deletes everything nested inside it. This can't be undone, so double-check before confirming.
Model statuses
Every model moves through these stages, shown in the Status column of your products list.
| Status | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Converting | Your file is being prepared right after upload. | Wait — no action needed. |
| Pending | Converted and waiting for you to set it up. | Press Open and set up the model. |
| Processing | Your setup was submitted and the model is being finalized. | Wait — no action needed. |
| Ready | The model is finished and can be added to your catalog. | Add it to a category. |
| Error | Something went wrong during processing. The model can't be viewed or edited. | Delete it and re-upload a corrected file. |
